Privacy policy
Last updated July 11, 2026. Plain language, no dark patterns.
The short version
BillPup helps you maintain your home. We collect only what we need to do that, we never sell your data, and you can export or delete it whenever you want.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email, and a securely hashed password.
- Home profile: the answers you give about your home (type, systems, features) so we can build your schedule.
- Your content: tasks, notes, and — on Pro — records and files you upload (receipts, photos, warranties).
- Basic technical data: server logs (IP, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
To generate your maintenance schedule, send the reminders you ask for, store your vault, and (if you subscribe) process payment. That’s it. We don’t use your home data for advertising, and we don’t sell it to anyone.
Who processes your data
We share the minimum necessary with a small set of service providers:
- Hosting provider — runs the servers and database that store your account and content.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments. We never see or store your full card details.
- Email/SMTP provider — delivers your reminder and account emails.
Your rights
- Export: request a copy of your data at any time. Pro users can also export a PDF Home Health Report instantly.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and data, and we will — permanently.
- Correction: update your profile and content directly, anytime, in the app.
- Unsubscribe: every reminder email has a one-click unsubscribe; it never affects your account.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@billpup.com.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are protected, and uploaded files are served only to their owner. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable measures to keep your data safe.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
